Great styling, simple with a hint of creepy!

sass and bide christmas party

Just a week ago the girls of Sass & Bide Bondi Junction came together for our 2009 Christmas party @ Mickeys on Oxford Street.
Such a fun night... shame my new camera can only store 12 photos!  I need to get a new memory card ASAP!

The lovely Emma Gitt
We decided to end the night with an hour @ the beach
"Just to let you knoooooow...." Inside jokes... sorry :P

new year nearly near

Well get ready to say adios, bon nuitte, gutten nacht, zi dien etc to 2009!  And say ola, bonjour, ni hao 2010 :)
I don't know about you crazy cats but i am super excited to start this New Year with a BANG!
Metallic Dreamer will be stocked in a gazillion places, i'll take my trip o/s for production, finalise web designs and i'll be on my way to dressing everyone one at a time in Metallic Dreamer pieces! Now that is just my plan... here's to hoping it all comes to fruition!

What are you New Years plans and resolutions?

Love xx

i heart jessica hart

So... move aside Abbey Lee because i have a new girl crush and her name is Jess Hart!
She is about the take on the fashion world by launching a range sold through General Pants co.
Her Jessica.Hart/blog is so simple, yet filled with complexity.  So frank and not one ounce pretentious. You may recognise Jess from many campaigns around Oz and that of the world in the last 5-8 years but more recently as the face for 'Seafolly's' Spring/Summer 09.10 range in stores now.
Be sure to check out her blog... it's a real treat!

My next pur-chase :)

So i have been hooked on 'ASOS' lately... www.asos.com and i have fallen in LOVE with these brown leather ankle boots!!
They will fit right in with my wardrobe team and i can't wait to get them!  I'll post pics as soon as they arrive!!

inspiration 14.12.2009

This artist Anne - Sofie Madsen blows my mind.  See full post @ Cyana Trend Land
The future is near with all the crazy geometric prints & silhouettes evident in many designers collections.
My near new haircut (am getting this done next week!!)  Will post photos!
Food for thought... never travel to the moon (sorry Virgin Galactic)

The second image is incredible... apart of the previously linked Anne-Sofie Madsen works.

Hope you've all been well... i will be fairly MIA for the next few days as i am busy getting the rest of my pieces ready for my stockist... Metallic Dreamer will be available from 'Trilby Phoenix' on Oxford Street from December 20... get in quick as stock is very limited!

men in black

Click pics to enlarge!

Stunning photography by Matthew Brookes for the New York Times 'style magazine'.
The series, named "The Brothers Grim" recalls when men wore topcoats and top hats.
Brookes is a fashion and portrait photographer whose usual aesthetic is lighter than this midsummer night’s dream (or drama).

the sartorialist

It's not often you can say you've met your idols... now i can!
Scott Schuman is a man of great talent to which i have followed for 2 or so years now.
He is a worldy man, full of amazing stories and with images to boot.  His pride of work serves as a testament to time and a snapshot of the way fashion really plays out on the streets... not just diluted fashion faux pas we see in some fashion mags.
He is real, very picky about whom he shoots and an absolute charm!  Meeting him tonight was lovely :)
Visit his site and buy his new book, appropriately named 'The Sartorialist'

Bonne Nuit x

o what a day

So i had a fabulous day in Sydney town today.  First, a great day @ work for Sass & Bide mainly due to the banana i devoured at 8am (ultra energised :)
Secondly a wonderful visit to my friend Emrys's where i found these amazing images in an old fashion magazine... and thirdly (my post next in line) i met 'The Sartorialist' at his new book signing at Sass & Bide on Oxford Street.  Working for the company helped me and the girls get in before the rush!
I just love the images in his new book, but more in next post... hehe.
